I've been reading this LoTR/HP crossover... pretty interesting. I'm already at Part 2: Stars In The River, and there's this part where the Gryffindor trio hitch a ride on the back of a Thestral (black winged horse, said to be able to turn invisible at will). And the Thestral calls Harry "black colt", calls Ron "bay colt" and calls Hermione "chestnut filly" *LOL* If you're interested, the link to Part 1: Clouds Over Snow is here.
